An Occupational Therapist’s view
The Scorpio range has excellent versatility for clients with a spectrum of needs or abilities.
For a client with core sitting balance the Scorpio range can be the perfect solution. The seat allows the person to side transfer due to the adjusting armrests, as well as being compatible with a mobile transfer seat which means dressing and bathing preparation can be completed in another room where space is at a premium.
For someone who is hoisted but where the environment will not support ceiling track installation the Scorpio range might be an excellent solution as the transfer to a modular transfer seat can take place in an alternative room and simply be attached to the lifting frame.
The virtually silent seat motor is an advantage for children or adults with sensory needs.
The height adjustable 1700 & 1800 then allow the bath to be raised and lowered to an appropriate carer height, supporting posture, dignity and communication.
As with the other specialist baths the size range allows therapists to recommend the Scorpio range in a variety of environments whilst justifying the adaptation as a cost-effective solution that supports client growth.
