An Occupational Therapist’s view
There is often a perception that as postural management becomes more complex then a shower is the safest solution to manage hygiene needs. Given the current marketplace this is simply no longer the case. There is no reason why someone with complex postural needs, whose client centred, holistic and occupation focused assessment concludes bathing as a recommendation, should not bathe.
