The fleet of Abacus Demonstration Vehicles are available across the UK and provide a unique, flexible location for disabled client bathing assessments, bath demonstrations and Abacus Academy training for healthcare professionals. Each accessible vehicle is equipped with a simulated bathroom and specialist power-assisted baths for a range of activities.
Booking a demonstration vehicle visit is free and can be arranged at a location and time of your choice.

For bathers
If bathers require physical assessment of their individual needs, the ramp-accessed vehicles provide a safe and private way to trial Abacus baths. Specialist postural supports are always onboard so different methods to support bathers can be explored along with suitable moving and handling approaches. Eliminating the need for difficult, weather dependent demonstrations outside, Abacus provides a pleasant and convenient way to choose the right assistive bathing solution for better long term comfort and independence.

Popular with Occupational Therapists, vehicles can host CPD ‘Lunch n Learn’ sessions which focus on the latest accessible bathing solutions and their appropriateness for specific client conditions. Topics such as moving and handling, postural support and therapeutic approaches can be explored.
Hosted by Abacus Regional Assessment Managers, each educational workshop can be tailor-made and presented anywhere – free of charge and at any time. Plus, all healthcare professionals attending receive a certificate for their CPD portfolio and a reflective log.
By booking a demonstration vehicle, education can be completed in car parks in a safe and secure environment, whatever the weather. Eliminating the need for outdoor demonstrations or moving baths into training rooms, Abacus provide efficient education to enhance everyday practice.
