Paediatric Occupational Therapists enjoy Abacus ‘Lunch & Learn’ workshop

The Paediatric Occupational Therapists from the Wiltshire Children and Young People’s Disability Team (North & East) found the latest Abacus ‘Lunch & Learn’ assisted bathing workshop both rewarding and informative.

“For me the session was really useful, as I had no previous experience of height adjustable baths. I couldn’t quite imagine how they even worked & it was interesting to see the different baths which are available. The session gave me lots to think about in terms of justifying person centred interventions, rather than focusing on the standard scenario (e.g wet rooms). Particularly for children, it would good to reiterate & discuss the importance of play as an occupation. The session gave me lots to think about when working with children and their families in future.”
