Abacus to deliver assisted bathing highlight of Kidz to Adultz North 2024

At Kidz North, Abacus experts will be on hand to answer all questions relating to its specialist baths and how they can be efficiently installed, including through Disabled Facilities Grants. Young visitors and their parents visiting stand E3 will be able to access a range of advice guides, plus the opportunity to enter a free prize draw to win Trevor the Turtle, the loveable Abacus mascot.
In terms of baths on the stand, Abacus will be showcasing the award-winning Gemini 2000 and Aries 2000.
Gemini 2000 bath
The Gemini 2000, with unique hi-lo action and integrated platform, won the Occupational Therapy Show ‘Excellence in Caring’ award. It represents a unique innovation in futureproofed accessible bathing. This 2-metre-long bath is larger than a standard bath and provides ample space for bathers to grow whilst maximising ergonomic access for carers or parents.
Aries 2000 bath
The Aries 2000 also provides extra capacity and unique specialist safety features. Whereas the Gemini is designed for more ambulant bathers, the Aries facilities easy access for bathers who require sling access via a mobile and ceiling track hoist.
Antimicrobial technology
Both baths provide in-built BioCote antimicrobial technology which ensures up to 99.99% protection against microbes and even some viruses. BioCote is proven to increase hygiene and protect against stains and odours.
