Abacus to showcase popular Gemini and Aries 2000 baths at Kidz South

Due to continued high enquiries, Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions, will be once again demonstrating its larger, futureproofed Gemini 2000 and Aries 2000 baths at Kidz to Adultz South.

Product Assessment Managers from its dedicated and friendly team will be at Kidz South to provide one-to-one advice regarding safe assisted bathing. This professional guidance will be supported by free literature including guides to Disabled Facilities Grants and the opportunity to book a free home consultation.

Abacus has a fleet of demonstration vehicles which are available across the UK, with baths on board for personalised assessments so clients can test and trial products first hand. This ensures every solution recommended will deliver the best outcome for individual bathers and their families. For occupational therapists, these vehicles also offer the perfect environment for free, group CPD sessions regarding the latest assisted bathing solutions and moving and handling techniques.

On stand E4 at Kidz South, visitors will be able to experience the award-winning Gemini 2000 and Aries 2000. The Gemini 2000 platform bath, with unique dual lift technology, won the Occupational Therapy Show ‘Excellence in Caring’ award and represents a unique innovation in futureproofed accessible bathing. This spacious, 2-metre-long bath is larger than a standard bath and encompasses an array of design and safety features. It provides ample space for bathers to grow and the variable height functionality ensures carers and parents can give personal care without the risk of back injury from excessive bending. This moving and handling support is enhanced by the integrated platform which eliminates many awkward transfer processes when entering and exiting the bath.

The new Aries 2000 delivers the same spacious advantages however is specifically designed for mobile and ceiling track hoist access. As with all Abacus baths, the Aries includes BioCote antimicrobial technology which provides up to 99.99% protection against microbes and even some viruses. It increases hygiene and protects against stains and odours.
